Having had a hot 25 over tonking by Singapore cc on Saturday Easter Sunday 2013 produced another 'hot hot hot' day. A a delayed 35 over game start was agreed as both teams were well oiled, in every sense of the word, from the night before. But all got off to a 10am start. Jackson's Captain for RBSC won the toss and started the mind games by electing to bat (groans from the oppo). Saad and Anil opened with Matt and Brigu (a 13year old swing wizard) supplying the bowling attack. RBSC were soon 13-2 Whilst Manish pushed quickly he pushed too quickly and was run out, his partner batted on for 118mins but was eventually Out Stumped to a slow high lob from Chairman Venkat, I was told this was Anil's 1st out for at least 4 games prior. Princie put on a spirited 45 of 45 balls (its OK Princie you can buy the Warsop Bat I lent you if you want). The rest of the innings collapsed to 182-9w (41 extras)

SCC reply was swift to start Vickie and Jackson bowled at Andy Beer and Nick D and the opening bowlers left the attack at 37 for 0 6overs later. The odds were on a 20 overs history but Manish entered the bowling 6ov 2w econ 4.5 so it was re-calculated at 25 overs target. SCC seemed to cruise to 126 for 1 then SCC eventually reached the 183 target in the 27th over but not before vickie and manish stole quick wickets near the end (186 -5) SCC win n.b. Thanks to SCC for their help in supplying the names of batting and bowling during the game to make this score system possible for the umpire. Man of the match was awarded to Andy Beer for his 92 not out and batted the full 131 mins with a strike rate of 118% (78balls) well deserved. Notes for Richards 36 off 22 balls, Princie, Vickie, Raja all with 100%+ strike rate. Bowling points of note Nick D 3W Brigu2W 3.2 economy Venkat 2 (inc Anil's) Manish 2W 4.5 econ Vickie 2W and a stunning cover's catch by RBSC got SCC's hard hitter Richard out.
